Please note that BOCES will manage homeschooling for the ESM Central school District. She will stay connected with families, advise families of required documentation, and communicate with the ESM Central School District Administration regarding each family. Please direct your questions and all documentation to her.
Per Section 100.10 of the commissioner’s regulations, and under Education Law 3204(2) and 3210(2)(d) and 3212(2), the following requirements must be met by parents who wish to educate their children at home.

Letter of Intent to Homeschool is due by July 1, or within 14 days of moving into the district

Individualized Home Instruction Plans (IHIPs) are due no later than August 15.

Quarterly Reports are due as specified on the IHIP, including the number of hours of instruction and a description of the material covered in each subject, and a grade or written narrative

Annual assessment (commercially published norm-referenced achievement test) at the same time as the 4th Quarterly Report
